Author Anya Kamenetz to Deliver 2013 Commencement Address 
Founders of Childhelp to Receive Honorary Doctorates

PHOENIX, May 30, 2013 - Northcentral University will recognize its largest class of graduates on June 8 at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Phoenix. Of the 179 participating graduates, 20 have earned their bachelor's degree, 81 have earned their master's and 78 have earned their doctorate. 

Anya Kamenetz is this year’s commencement speaker. Kamenetz is an expert on learning and technology, and has a passion for the complexities of how we will learn, work and live in the new Millennium. Her popular works include Generation Debt and DIY U: Edupunks, Edupreneurs, and the Coming Transformation of Higher Education. Kamenetz is available for media interviews at the Orpheum Theatre from 8:30-9:30 a.m.

Honorary doctorates will be awarded to Childhelp co-founders Sara O’Meara and Yvonne Fedderson for their inspiring leadership and dedication to helping victims of child abuse and neglect.
